Get ready for the first Factory 500 Excursion in over two years! On Saturday, May 21 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Factory 500 and Patron level members will gather for a day of learning, mingling, food and drink around Pittsburgh's East End!

The first stop will be at the University of Pittsburgh art professor and former Mattress Factory Board member Delanie Jenkins’ personal art studio in Point Breeze! Visit with Delanie to discuss her artistic practice, tour her studio, and get a sneak preview of her current projects!

Next, members will take a short seven-minute drive to JusticeWorks President/CEO and current Mattress Factory Board member Daniel Heit’s one-of-a-kind Auto Installation space in Wilkinsburg: Casa Bella Macchina. The building houses a vehicle from every decade from 1900 to the 2020’s; the eclectic collection ranges from the 5th oldest Buick in the world to a new 800 hp Ferrari. The building itself is reminiscent of the Mattress Factory’s ethos; transformed from a 9,000 sq. ft. working car repair shop to an immersive and elegant garage and lounge, featuring a custom collage by Factory Installed 2019 artist Pepe Mar.

Finally, guests will drive 15 minutes to end the excursion at Mattress Factory Board member and Development Committee Chair Dede Acer and her husband Ken’s Squirrel Hill home. Here, guests will mingle over food and drink and enjoy the Acer’s beautifully renovated, historic 1920s home, featuring art and décor from around the world and from a multitude of Mattress Factory auctions and fundraisers!
